Morning Blessings

בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה ה', אֱלהֵינוּ מֶלֶךְ הָעולָם, אֲשֶׁר יָצַר אֶת הָאָדָם בְּחָכְמָה. וּבָרָא בו נְקָבִים נְקָבִים. חֲלוּלִים חֲלוּלִים. גָּלוּי וְיָדוּעַ לִפְנֵי כִסֵּא כְבודֶךָ שֶׁאִם יִסָּתֵם אֶחָד מֵהֶם או אִם יִפָּתֵחַ אֶחָד מֵהֶם אֵי אֶפְשַׁר לְהִתְקַיֵּם אֲפִלּוּ שָׁעָה אֶחָת. בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה ה', רופֵא כָל בָּשָׂר וּמַפְלִיא לַעֲשׂות:

Morning Blessings I am thankful before You, living and enduring King, for you have mercifully restored my soul within me. Great is Your faithfulness. Blessed are You, Hashem, our G-d, King of the universe, Who has sanctified us with His commandments and commanded us regarding the raising of hands [i.e., washing]:

אֱלהַי נְשָׁמָה שֶׁנָּתַתָּ בִּי טְהורָה. אַתָּה בְרָאתָהּ. אַתָּה יְצַרְתָּהּ. אַתָּה נְפַחְתָּהּ בִּי. וְאַתָּה מְשַׁמְּרָהּ בְּקִרְבִּי. וְאַתָּה עָתִיד לִטְּלָהּ מִמֶּנִּי וּלְהַחֲזִירָהּ בִּי לֶעָתִיד לָבא. כָּל זְמַן שֶׁהַנְּשָׁמָה בְקִרְבִּי מודֶה אֲנִי לְפָנֶיךָ ה' אֱלהַי וֵאלהֵי אֲבותַי רִבּון כָּל הַמַּעֲשִׂים. אֲדון כָּל הַנְּשָׁמות. בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה ה', הַמַּחֲזִיר נְשָׁמות לִפְגָרִים מֵתִים:

Blessed are You, Hashem, our G-d, King of the Universe, Who formed man with wisdom and created many openings and cavities within him. It is obvious and known before Your throne of glory that if any one of them were closed or if one of any one them were opened, it would be impossible to exist for even an hour [i.e., a short while]. Blessed are You, Hashem, Who heals all flesh and does wondrous things.

בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה ה', אֱלהֵינוּ מֶלֶךְ הָעולָם, הַנּותֵן לַשֶּׂכְוִי בִּינָה לְהַבְחִין בֵּין יום וּבֵין לָיְלָה: * בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה ה', אֱלהֵינוּ מֶלֶךְ הָעולָם, פּוקֵחַ עִוְרִים: * בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה ה', אֱלהֵינוּ מֶלֶךְ הָעולָם, מַתִּיר אֲסוּרִים: * בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה ה', אֱלהֵינוּ מֶלֶךְ הָעולָם, זוקֵף כְּפוּפִים: * בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה ה', אֱלהֵינוּ מֶלֶךְ הָעולָם, מַלְבִּישׁ עֲרֻמִּים: * בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה ה', אֱלהֵינוּ מֶלֶךְ הָעולָם, הַנּותֵן לַיָּעֵף כּחַ: * בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה ה', אֱלהֵינוּ מֶלֶךְ הָעולָם, רוקַע הָאָרֶץ עַל הַמָּיִם: * בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה ה', אֱלהֵינוּ מֶלֶךְ הָעולָם, הַמֵּכִין מִצְעֲדֵי גָבֶר: * בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה ה', אֱלהֵינוּ מֶלֶךְ הָעולָם, שֶׁעָשָׂה לִי כָּל צָרְכִּי: * בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה ה', אֱלהֵינוּ מֶלֶךְ הָעולָם, אוזֵר יִשְׂרָאֵל בִּגְבוּרָה: * בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה ה', אֱלהֵינוּ מֶלֶךְ הָעולָם, עוטֵר יִשְׂרָאֵל בְּתִפְאָרָה: * בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה ה', אֱלהֵינוּ מֶלֶךְ הָעולָם, שֶׁלּא עָשַׂנִי גוי. (אשה אומרת - גויָה): * בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה ה', אֱלהֵינוּ מֶלֶךְ הָעולָם, שֶׁלּא עָשַׂנִי עָבֶד. (אשה אומרת - שִׁפְחָה): ** גבר: בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה ה', אֱלהֵינוּ מֶלֶךְ הָעולָם, שֶׁלּא עָשַׂנִי אִשָּׁה: אישה: בָּרוּךְ שֶׁעָשַׂנִי כִּרְצונו

My G-d, the soul that you placed within me is pure. You created it, You formed it, You breathed it into me, and You preserve it within me. And in the future, You will take it from me and restore it in the Time to Come. All the time that this soul is within me, I am thankful before You, Hashem, my G-d and the G-d of my fathers, Ruler of all creation, L-rd of all the souls. Blessed are You, Hashem, Who restores souls to dead bodies.

בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה ה', אֱלהֵינוּ מֶלֶךְ הָעולָם, הַמַּעֲבִיר חֶבְלֵי שֵׁנָה מֵעֵינַי וּתְנוּמָה מֵעַפְעַפָּי: ממשיך בלי הפסק: וִיהִי רָצון מִלְּפָנֶיךָ ה' אֱלהַי וֵאלהֵי אֲבותַי, שֶׁתַּרְגִּילֵנִי בְּתורָתֶךָ. וְתַדְבִּיקֵנִי בְּמִצְותֶיךָ. וְאַל תְּבִיאֵנִי לִידֵי חֵטְא. וְלא לִידֵי עָון. וְלא לִידֵי נִסָּיון. וְלא לִידֵי בִזָּיון. וְתַרְחִיקֵנִי מִיֵּצֶר הָרָע. וְתַדְבִּיקֵנִי בְּיֵצֶר הַטּוב. וְכוף אֶת יִצְרִי לְהִשְׁתַּעְבֶּד לָךְ. וּתְנֵנִי הַיּום וּבְכָל יום לְחֵן וּלְחֶסֶד וּלְרַחֲמִים בְּעֵינֶיךָ וּבְעֵינֵי כָל רואַי. וְגָמְלֵנִי חֲסָדִים טובִים. בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה ה', גּומֵל חֲסָדִים טובִים לְעַמּו יִשְׂרָאֵל: יְהִי רָצון מִלְּפָנֶיךָ ה' אֱלהַי וֵאלהֵי אֲבותַי שֶׁתַּצִּילֵנִי הַיּום וּבְכָל יום וָיום מֵעַזֵּי פָנִים. וּמֵעַזּוּת פָּנִים. מֵאָדָם רָע. מִיֵּצֶר רָע. מֵחָבֵר רָע. מִשָּׁכֵן רָע. מִפֶּגַע רָע. מֵעַיִן הָרָע. וּמִלָּשׁון הָרָע. מִדִּין קָשֶׁה. וּמִבַּעַל דִּין קָשֶׁה. בֵּין שֶׁהוּא בֶן בְּרִית. וּבֵין שֶׁאֵינו בֶן בְּרִית:

Blessed are You, Hashem, King of the Universe, Who gives the rooster [alt. heart] the understanding to distinguish between day and between night. * Blessed are You, Hashem, King of the Universe, Who gives sight to the blind. * Blessed are You, Hashem, King of the Universe, Who releases the bound. * Blessed are You, Hashem, King of the Universe, Who straitens the bent. * Blessed are You, Hashem, King of the Universe, Who clothes the naked. * Blessed are You, Hashem, King of the Universe, who gives strength to the weary. * Blessed are You, Hashem, King of the Universe, Who spreads the earth over the waters. * Blessed are You, Hashem, King of the Universe, Who prepares the steps of man. * Blessed are You, Hashem, King of the Universe, Who has provided for me all of my needs. * Blessed are You, Hashem, King of the Universe, Who girds Israel with might. * Blessed are You, Hashem, King of the Universe, who crowns Israel with glory. * Blessed are You, Hashem, King of the Universe, Who did not make me a gentile. (A woman says: gentile woman) * Blessed are You, Hashem, King of the Universe, Who did not make me a slave. (A woman says: maid-servant) ** Men: Blessed are You, Hashem, King of the Universe, Who did not make me a woman. Women: Blessed is He Who made me according to His Will.

ברכות התורה בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה ה', אֱלהֵינוּ מֶלֶךְ הָעולָם, אֲשֶׁר קִדְּשָׁנוּ בְּמִצְותָיו וְצִוָּנוּ עַל דִּבְרֵי תורָה: וְהַעֲרֵב נָא ה' אֱלהֵינוּ אֶת דִּבְרֵי תורָתְךָ בְּפִינוּ וּבְפִיפִיּות עַמְּךָ בֵּית יִשְׂרָאֵל. וְנִהְיֶה אֲנַחְנוּ וְצֶאֱצָאֵינוּ וְצֶאֱצָאֵי צֶאֱצָאֵינוּ כֻּלָּנוּ יודְעֵי שְׁמֶךָ וְלומְדֵי תורָתְךָ לִשְׁמָהּ. בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה ה', הַמְלַמֵּד תּורָה לְעַמּו יִשְׂרָאֵל: בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה ה', אֱלהֵינוּ מֶלֶךְ הָעולָם, אֲשֶׁר בָּחַר בָּנוּ מִכָּל הָעַמִּים וְנָתַן לָנוּ אֶת תּורָתו. בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה ה', נותֵן הַתּורָה:

Blessed are You, Hashem, King of the Universe, Who removes the bonds of sleep from my eyes and the slumber from my eyelids. And may it be Your will, Hashem, my G-d and G-d of my fathers, that You accustom me in Your Torah and attach me to Your commandments. And do not bring me to sin, nor to iniquity, nor to be tested, nor to be disgraced. And distance me from the evil inclination and attach me to the good inclination. And compel my inclination to serve You. And grant me today, and everyday, grace, loving-kindness, and compassion in Your eyes and in the eyes of all who see me, and bestow upon me good kindnesses. Blessed are You, Hashem, Who bestows good kindnesses to His nation, Israel. May it be the will, before You, Hashem, my G-d and the G-d of my fathers, that You spare me today and every single day, from the arrogant, and from arrogance, from an evil man, from the evil inclination, from an evil friend, from an evil companion, from a bad mishap, from the evil eye, from slander, from a a difficult judgment, and from a difficult accuser, whether he is a Jew or whether he is not a Jew.

וַיְדַבֵּר ה' אֶל משֶׁה לֵּאמר: דַּבֵּר אֶל אַהֲרן וְאֶל בָּנָיו לֵאמר כּה תְבָרְכוּ אֶת בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל. אָמור לָהֶם: יְבָרֶכְךָ ה' וְיִשְׁמְרֶךָ: יָאֵר ה' פָּנָיו אֵלֶיךָ וִיחֻנֶּךָּ: יִשָּׂא ה' פָּנָיו אֵלֶיךָ וְיָשֵׂם לְךָ שָׁלום: וְשָׂמוּ אֶת שְׁמִי עַל בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וַאֲנִי אֲבָרְכֵם:

Blessings of learning Torah Blessed are You, Hashem, King of the Universe, Who has sanctified us with His commandments and has commanded us regarding the words of the Torah. And sweeten for us, Hashem, our G-d, the words of Torah in our mouths and in the mouths of Your nation, the House of Israel. And let us and our offspring, and our offspring's offspring, and the offspring of Your nation, the House of Israel - all know Your name, learn Your Torah for its own sake. Blessed are You, Hashem, who teaches Torah to His nation Israel. Blessed are You, Hashem, King of the Universe, who chose us from all the nations and gave us His Torah. Blessed are You, Hashem, Who gives the Torah.

סדר הנחת תפילין לפני שיברך על הציצית יאמר לשם יחוד זה: לְשֵׁם יִחוּד קוּדְשָׁא בְּרִיךְ הוּא וּשְׁכִינְתֵּיהּ, בִּדְחִילוּ וּרְחִימוּ, וּרְחִימוּ וּדְחִילוּ, לְיַחֲדָא שֵׁם יו"ד קֵ"י בְּוָא"ו קֵ"י בְּיִחוּדָא שְׁלִים (יהוה) בְּשֵׁם כָּל יִשְׂרָאֵל. הֲרֵינִי מוּכָן לְקַיֵּם מִצְוַת עֲשֵׂה לִלְבּשׁ טַלִּית מְצֻיֶּצֶת כְּהִלְכָתָהּ, כְּמו שֶׁצִּוָּנוּ ה' אֱלהֵינוּ בְּתורָתו הַקְּדושָׁה: וְעָשׂוּ לָהֶם צִיצִת עַל כַּנְפֵי בִגְדֵיהֶם. וְעַל יְדֵי עֲטִיפַת הַצִּיצִית נִזְכּר כָּל מִצְותָיו לַעֲשׂותָם. כְּדֵי לַעֲשׂות נַחַת רוּחַ לְיוצְרִי וְלַעֲשׂות רְצון בּורְאִי. וַהֲרֵינִי מוּכָן לְבָרֵךְ עַל עֲטִיפַת הַטָּלִית כְּתִקּוּן רַבּותֵינוּ זִכְרונָם לִבְרָכָה. וַהֲרֵינִי מְכַוֵּן לִפְטר בִּבְרָכָה זו גַּם טַלִּית הַקָּטָן שֶׁעָלַי. וִיהִי נעַם אֲדנָי אֱלהֵינוּ עָלֵינוּ. וּמַעֲשֵׂה יָדֵינוּ כּונְנָה עָלֵינוּ. וּמַעֲשֵׂה יָדֵינוּ כּונְנֵהוּ:

Hashem spoke to Moses, saying: Speak to Aaron and to his sons, saying: So shall you bless the children of Israel. Say to them: May Hashem bless you and guard them. May Hashem illuminate His countenance upon you and be gracious to you. May Hashem lift His countenance toward you and give you peace. They shall place My name upon the children of Israel and I will bless them.

עטיפת טלית והנחת תפילין

Order of putting tefillin

בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה ה', אֱלהֵינוּ מֶלֶךְ הָעולָם, אֲשֶׁר קִדְּשָׁנוּ בְמִצְותָיו וְצִוָּנוּ לְהִתְעַטֵּף בְּצִיצִית:

Order of putting tefillin Before blessing on the tzizit, say: (optional) For the sake of unification the Holy and Blessed and His divine presence with fear and love, and love and fear, To dedicate The name of Yod Kay Vav Kay in the name of the whole of Israel. I am ready to observe a mitzvah made to wear a tassel from tzitzit as it is, as the L-rd our G-d commanded in his holy teaching: And make them fringes on the wings of their garments. And by wrapping the tassel all his commandments are remembered, to be done. In order to please the Creator and to do the will of the Creator. And I am ready to bless on the wrapping of the tassel as our rabbis' (there memory is blessed) would correct. And I intend to dismiss with this blessing also the little tassel above me. And the L-rd our G-d will be gracious to us. And the work of our hands establisheth upon us. And the work of our hands established it:

לפני הנחת תפילין של יד יאמר: לְשֵׁם יִחוּד קוּדְשָׁא בְּרִיךְ הוּא וּשְׁכִינְתֵּיהּ, בִּדְחִילוּ וּרְחִימוּ, וּרְחִימוּ וּדְחִילוּ, לְיַחֲדָא שֵׁם יו"ד קֵ"י בְּוָא"ו קֵ"י בְּיִחוּדָא שְׁלִים (יהוה) בְּשֵׁם כָּל יִשְׂרָאֵל. הֲרֵינִי מוּכָן לְקַיֵּם מִצְוַת עֲשֵׂה לְהָנִיחַ תְּפִלִּין בְּיָדִי וּבְראשִׁי, כְּמו שֶׁצִּוָּנוּ ה' אֱלהֵינוּ: וּקְשַׁרְתֶּם אתָם לְאות עַל יֶדְכֶם, וְהָיוּ לְטוטָפת בֵּין עֵינֵיכֶם. וְצִוָּנוּ הַקָּדושׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא לְהָנִיחַ אַרְבַּע פַּרְשִׁיּות אֵלּוּ שֶׁיֵּשׁ בָּהֶם יִחוּד שְׁמו וִיצִיאַת מִצְרַיִם עַל הַזְּרועַ כְּנֶגֶד הַלֵּב, וְעַל הָראשׁ כְּנֶגֶד הַמּחַ, כְּדֵי שֶׁנִּזְכּר נִסִּים וְנִפְלָאות שֶׁעָשָׂה עִמָּנוּ. וַהֲרֵינִי מוּכָן לְבָרֵךְ הַבְּרָכָה שֶׁתִּקְנוּ רַבּותֵינוּ זִכְרונָם לִבְרָכָה עַל מִצְוַת הַתְּפִלִּין, וַהֲרֵינִי מְכַוֵּן לִפְטר בִּבְרָכָה זו תְּפִלִּין שֶׁל יָד וּתְפִלִּין שֶׁל ראשׁ, וְיַעֲלֶה לְפָנֶיךָ ה' אֱלהֵינוּ וֵאלהֵי אֲבותֵינוּ כְּאִלּוּ כִּוַּנְתִּי בְּכָל הַכַּוָּנות הָרְאוּיות לְכַוֵּן בַּהֲנָחַת הַתְּפִלִּין וּבַבְּרָכָה. וִיהִי נעַם אֲדנָי אֱלהֵינוּ עָלֵינוּ. וּמַעֲשֵׂה יָדֵינוּ כּונְנָה עָלֵינוּ. וּמַעֲשֵׂה יָדֵינוּ כּונְנֵהוּ:

Blessed are you, O L-rd, our G-d, the King of the world, whom we have sanctified by His commandments and commanded to be wrapped in a tassel:

בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה ה', אֱלהֵינוּ מֶלֶךְ הָעולָם, אֲשֶׁר קִדְּשָׁנוּ בְמִצְותָיו וְצִוָּנוּ לְהָנִיחַ תְּפִלִּין:

Before putting arm tefillin say: (optional) For the sake of unification the Holy and Blessed and His divine presence with fear and love, and love and fear, To dedicate The name of Yod Kay Vav Kay in the name of the whole of Israel. I am ready to observe the mitzvah made to place tefillin on my hand and on my head, as the L-rd our G-d has commanded: And you bound them with a sign on your hand, and they were placed between your eyes. And the L-rd our G-d will be gracious to us. And the work of our hands establisheth upon us. And the work of our hands established it:

ואם הפסיק בדיבור בין תפילין של יד לתפילין של ראש יברך: בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה ה', אֱלהֵינוּ מֶלֶךְ הָעולָם, אֲשֶׁר קִדְּשָׁנוּ בְמִצְותָיו וְצִוָּנוּ עַל מִצְוַת תְּפִלִּין:

Blessed are you, O L-rd, our G-d, the King of the world, who sanctified us by his commandments and commanded us to place a tefillin:

כשיכרוך שלש כריכות על אצבעו האמצעית יאמר: וְאֵרַשְׂתִּיךְ לִי לְעולָם. וְאֵרַשְׂתִּיךְ לִי בְּצֶדֶק וּבְמִשְׁפָּט וּבְחֶסֶד וּבְרַחֲמִים: וְאֵרַשְׂתִּיךְ לִי בֶּאֱמוּנָה. וְיָדַעַתְּ אֶת ה':

(If you spoke between putting on the arm tefillin and putting on the head tefillin, bless:) Blessed are you, O L-rd, our G-d, the King of the world, who sanctified us by his commandments and commanded us on the commandments of tefillin:

אחר הנחת תפילין יאמר שתי פרשיות אלו, ואם אינו יכול לאומרן קודם התפילה יאמר אותן אחר התפלה, לפני שיחלוץ התפילין: וַיְדַבֵּר ה' אֶל משֶׁה לֵּאמר: קַדֶּשׁ לִי כָל בְּכור פֶּטֶר כָּל רֶחֶם בִּבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל בָּאָדָם וּבַבְּהֵמָה. לִי הוּא: וַיּאמֶר משֶׁה אֶל הָעָם זָכור אֶת הַיּום הַזֶּה אֲשֶׁר יְצָאתֶם מִמִּצְרַיִם מִבֵּית עֲבָדִים כִּי בְּחזֶק יָד הוצִיא ה' אֶתְכֶם מִזֶּה. וְלא יֵאָכֵל חָמֵץ: הַיּום אַתֶּם יצְאִים. בְּחדֶשׁ הָאָבִיב: וְהָיָה כִי יְבִיאֲךָ ה' אֶל אֶרֶץ הַכְּנַעֲנִי וְהַחִתִּי וְהָאֱמרִי וְהַחִוִּי וְהַיְבוּסִי אֲשֶׁר נִשְׁבַּע לַאֲבתֶיךָ לָתֶת לָךְ אֶרֶץ זָבַת חָלָב וּדְבָשׁ. וְעָבַדְתָּ אֶת הָעֲבדָה הַזּאת בַּחדֶשׁ הַזֶּה: שִׁבְעַת יָמִים תּאכַל מַצּת. וּבַיּום הַשְּׁבִיעִי חַג לה': מַצּות יֵאָכֵל אֵת שִׁבְעַת הַיָּמִים. וְלא יֵרָאֶה לְךָ חָמֵץ וְלא יֵרָאֶה לְךָ שְׂאר בְּכָל גְּבֻלֶךָ: וְהִגַּדְתָּ לְבִנְךָ בַּיּום הַהוּא לֵאמר. בַּעֲבוּר זֶה עָשָׂה ה' לִי בְּצֵאתִי מִמִּצְרָיִם: וְהָיָה לְךָ לְאות עַל יָדְךָ וּלְזִכָּרון בֵּין עֵינֶיךָ לְמַעַן תִּהְיֶה תּורַת ה' בְּפִיךָ. כִּי בְּיָד חֲזָקָה הוצִיאֲךָ ה' מִמִּצְרָיִם: וְשָׁמַרְתָּ אֶת הַחֻקָּה הַזּאת לְמועֲדָהּ. מִיָּמִים יָמִימָה:

While you are wrapping the strap 3 times around your middle finger, say: And you have given me an inheritance forever. Thou hast granted me in righteousness, and in judgment, and in lovingkindness, and in mercy: And thou didst leave me in faith. And you knew the L-rd:

וְהָיָה כִּי יְבִיאֲךָ ה' אֶל אֶרֶץ הַכְּנַעֲנִי כַּאֲשֶׁר נִשְׁבַּע לְךָ וְלַאֲבותֶיךָ. וּנְתָנָהּ לָךְ: וְהַעֲבַרְתָּ כָל פֶּטֶר רֶחֶם לה'. וְכָל פֶּטֶר שֶׁגֶר בְּהֵמָה אֲשֶׁר יִהְיֶה לְךָ הַזְּכָרִים לה': וְכָל פֶּטֶר חֲמר תִּפְדֶּה בְשֶׂה וְאִם לא תִפְדֶּה וַעֲרַפְתּו. וְכל בְּכור אָדָם בְּבָנֶיךָ תִּפְדֶּה: וְהָיָה כִּי יִשְׁאָלְךָ בִנְךָ מָחָר לֵאמר מַה זּאת. וְאָמַרְתָּ אֵלָיו בְּחזֶק יָד הוצִיאָנוּ ה' מִמִּצְרַיִם מִבֵּית עֲבָדִים: וַיְהִי כִּי הִקְשָׁה פַרְעה לְשַׁלְּחֵנוּ וַיַּהֲרג ה' כָּל בְּכור בְּאֶרֶץ מִצְרַיִם מִבְּכר אָדָם וְעַד בְּכור בְּהֵמָה. עַל כֵּן אֲנִי זבֵחַ לה' כָּל פֶּטֶר רֶחֶם הַזְּכָרִים וְכָל בְּכור בָּנַי אֶפְדֶּה: וְהָיָה לְאות עַל יָדְכָה וּלְטוטָפת בֵּין עֵינֶיךָ. כִּי בְּחזֶק יָד הוצִיאָנוּ ה' מִמִּצְרָיִם:

After putting on the tefillin, say: (if can't say before the prayer, say after the prayer before removing the tefillin) And the L-rd spoke to Moses, saying, Sanctify unto me all the firstborn of the firstborn of all the mercies of the children of Israel in man and in animal To me he is: And Moses said unto the people, Remember this day, when you came forth out of Egypt out of the house of bondage; And shall not eat leaven: Today you are going out. In the month of spring: And it shall come to pass, when the L-rd brought thee into the land of the Canaanite, and the Hittite, and the Amorite, and the Hivite, and the Jebusite, that he swore unto thy fathers to give you a land flowing with milk and honey. And you worked this work this month: You shall eat unleavened bread seven days. And on the seventh day is a holiday to the L-rd: Matzah will be eaten the seven days. And no leaven shall be seen, neither shall sourdough, in all your borders: And you told your son that day saying. For this is what G-d did to me when I came out of Egypt: And thou shalt have a sign on thine hand, and a memorial between thine eyes, that the law of the L-rd shall be in thy mouth. For with a strong hand hath the L-rd brought thee out of Egypt: And you have kept this constitution in place. From year to year:

And it shall come to pass, when the L-rd hath brought thee unto the land of the Canaanites, when he shall swear unto thee and to thy fathers. And I gave it to you: And you have brought all the mercy of G-d to the L-rd. And every firstborn that dwelleth by the animal, that shall have the males of thee: And every donkey firstborn will redeem with a lamb, and if he does not redeem it, he will be beheaded. And every firstborn of man in thy children shall be redeemed: And it shall come to pass, when thy son asketh thee in time to come, saying, What is this? And thou saidst unto him, By strength of hand the L-rd brought us out of Egypt out of the house of bondage: And it came to pass, when Pharaoh had hardened his hand, that we sent him away. A psalm for praise. Raise a shout for the L-rd, all the earth; Worship the L-rd in gladness; come into His presence with shouts of joy. Acknowledge that the L-rd is G-d; He made us and we are His, His people, the flock He tends. Enter His gates with praise, His courts with acclamation. Praise Him! Bless His name! For the L-rd is good; His steadfast love is eternal; His faithfulness is for all generations.

Happy are those Happy are those that dwell in Your house, they will yet praise You forever. Happy is the people for whom this is so, happy is the people that the L·rd is their G·d. A praise of David, I will exalt You my G·d, the King, & I will bless Your Name forever & ever. Every day I will bless you, & I will laud Your Name forever & ever. Great is the L·rd & He is greatly lauded, & His Greatness is unfathomable. Generation to generation will praise Your deeds, & Your mighty acts they will relate. The splendorous glory of Your Majesty & Your wondrous acts I shall discuss. And the might of Your awesome acts they will speak & Your greatness, I will relate. A recollection of Your great goodness they will express & Your righteousness they will sing. Gracious & Merciful is the L·rd, Slow-to anger & Great in kindness. The L·rd is good to all & His Mercies are on all His works. All Your works shall thank You, L·rd, & Your pious ones shall bless You. Of the glory of Your Kingdom they will relate, & Your Might they shall speak.To inform human beings of Your Mighty acts & of the glorious Majesty of His Kingdom. Your Kingship is Kingship of all worlds & Your dominion is for all generations. The L·rd supports all those who fall, & He straightens all who are bent over. The eyes of all are [looking] upon You for hope, & You provide them their food in the proper time. * You open Your hand, & You satisfy all the living's wants. Righteous is the L·rd in all His ways, & Pious in all His deeds. The L·rd is close to all who call Him, to all that call upon Him with sincerity. The will of those that fear Him He will do, & their cries He will hear & save them. The L·rd protects all who love Him, & all of the wicked He will destroy. Praise of the L·rd will my mouth speak, & all flesh shall bless His holy Name for ever & ever. And we will bless G·d from now to eternity. [Let us all] Praise G·d!

Hallelujah, O G-d, I will sing unto the L-RD; Do not trust in the generosity of man that there is no salvation: His spirit shall leave, he will return to his land. On that day he lost his temper: Blessed be who the G-d of Jacob is his help His hope is to G-d, his L-rd. The maker of heaven and earth, the sea and all that is in them. Preserving the truth forever: Doing justice to the oppressors, He gives bread to the hungry. G-d releasing the imprisoned, G-d opens the eyes of the blind. G-d who straightens the bent, G-d who loves the righteous. Protects foreigners, will cheer the orphan and the widow . And the way of the wicked shall perish: the L-RD shall reign forever, your G-d of Zion, generation and generation Hallelujah.

The Song of the Sea "And the L-RD saved Israel that day from the hands of Egypt. And Israel saw the Egyptians dead upon the sea shore. And Israel saw the magnifying hand that the L-RD has made with Egypt, and the people saw the L-rd. And they believed in the L-rd, and in Moses His servent:" * * * Then Moshe and the people of Israel sang this song to the L-rd, and said, “I will sing to the L-rd, for He Has triumphed gloriously. The horse and his rider he has thrown into the sea. The strength and the praise to the L-rd have become my salvation. This is my G-d, and I will praise Him; The G-d of my father, and I shall exalt him. The L-rd is a man of war. L-rd is his name. He has cast Pharaoh’s chariots and his army into the sea. His (Pharaoh’s) chosen captains are sunk in the Red Sea, the deeps cover them. They went down into the depths like stone. Your right hand, L-rd, is glorious in power. Your right hand, L-rd, dashes the enemy in pieces. In the greatness of your excellency, you overthrow those who rise up against you. You send forth your fury, it consumes them as straw. With the wind of your nostrils, the waters piled, they stood as walls. The deeps froze in the heart of the sea. Said the enemy, "I will chase. I will overtake. I will divide the booty. Satisfied upon them, shall be my desire. I will draw my sword, my hand shall destroy them." You blew with your wind, the sea covered them. They sank like lead in the great waters. Who is like you among the G-ds? G-d, Who is like you? Glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders. You stretched out your right hand, the earth swallowed them. You have led in your loving kindness the people that you have redeemed. You have lead them in Your strength to Your holy habitation. The nations have heard, they tremble. Fear has taken hold on the settlers of Philistia. Then were dismayed the heros of Edom. The mighty men of Moav, had trembling take hold of them. Melted away all the settlers of K’naan. Falls on them terror and dread. By the greatness of your arm they are as still as a stone– until your people pass over, L-rd, until the people pass over, who you have purchased. You shall bring them in, and plant them in the mountain of your inheritance, the place which You have made for Yourself to dwell in, L-rd; The sanctuary, my Master, established with Your hands. The L-rd shall reign forever and ever. The L-rd shall reign forever and ever. For the horses of Pharaoh and his chariots and with his horsemen, have come into the sea and G-d brought the waters of the sea on them. And the people of Israel walked on dry land in the midst of the Sea. For to G-d is the kingdom. And He is the governor of the nations: And the resurrected ones ascended Mount Zion to judge Mount Esau. And for the G-d was the kingdom: And the L-RD was for king over all the earth. Recital of Shema and Blessings Blessed are You, G·d, Our L·rd, King of the Universe who forms light and creates darkness. Who makes peace and creates everything. He Who illuminates the earth and those who dwell upon it – with compassion, and with His goodness He renews daily the work of creation. How great are your deeds Oh, G·d – all of them You have done with wisdom – the world is full of Your possessions. The lofty King, alone from before [time]. The Praiseworthy One, and the Glorified and the Exalted – from the days of the [beginning of] world. G·d of the world with Your abundant mercy have mercy upon us. Master of our power, the Rock of our Refuge, the Shield of our salvation, Refuge for us, Blessed G·d, Great in knowledge, Who prepared and Made the Lights of Sun. Good One, You created it for the honor of Your Name. Luminaries were placed around His Might. In the corners are the Holy hosts, that glorify the Almighty. At all times they tell of the Honor of G·d and His Holiness. You are Blessed, L·rd, our G·d in the Heavens above and upon the land below it. Upon all the praise of Your handiwork and the luminaries of light – that You formed – they will glorify You forever.

לאמר בישיבה קָדושׁ קָדושׁ. קָדושׁ ה' צְבָאות. מְלא כָל הָאָרֶץ כְּבודו: וְהָאופַנִּים וְחַיּות הַקּדֶשׁ בְּרַעַשׁ גָּדול מִתְנַשְּׂאִים לְעֻמַּת הַשְּׂרָפִים לְעֻמָּתָם מְשַׁבְּחִים וְאומְרִים: בָּרוּךְ כְּבוד ה' מִמְּקומו:

You are Blessed eternally, our Rock, our King, our Redeemer – Creator of Holy ones. May Your name be praised forever, our King, former of servitors that are His servants – all of them stand upon the heights of the world and they listen with awe – together the voice of the Living G·d and King of the Universe. All of them are beloved, all of them are lucid, all of them are mighty, all of them are holy, all of them do the will of their Proprietor and all open their mouth – with holiness and purity, with song and music and bless and praise and glorify and sanctify and admire and accept the Kingship of the Name of the King, the Great, the Mighty and Awesome G·d – Holy is He. And all of them accept upon themselves the Kingship of Heaven – one from another and acquiesce one to another – to sanctify their Creator – with calmness of spirit and , with clear, pleasant speech – [exclaiming His] Holiness, Each one in unison answer with trepidation and say with fear

Say seated Holy, Holy, Holy is the L·rd of hosts. the entire world is filled with His glory. And the Ofanim and the Hayot HaKodesh – with great tumult – lift themselves facing the Serafim and those facing them, give praise & say: Blessed is the honor of the L·rd from His place.

To the Blessed G·d, we will give pleasant [praises], to the living G·d, Musical Songs will be said and praises will be heard, for Only He is Lofty and Holy, Implementer of Mighty [deeds], Doer of Novel [acts], Master of Wars, Provider of Charity [Righteousness], Grower of Salvation, Creator of Healing, Awesome in Praises, Master of Wonders, Who Renews, with His goodness, daily, continuously the acts of creation – as it is said: The Maker of Great Lights – for His kindness is eternal. Blessed are You L·rd former of the luminaries.

קריאת שמע שְׁמַע יִשְׂרָאֵל, ה' אֱלהֵינוּ, ה' אֶחָד: ואומר בלחש - בָּרוּךְ, שֵׁם כְּבוד מַלְכוּתו, לְעולָם וָעֶד:

[With] an Eternal Love, You loved us, L·rd, our G·d. With great and exceptional grace, did You grace upon us. Our Father, our King due to Your Name and due to our fathers that had faith in You and that You taught them the ordinances of life – to do your will with a complete heart, thus have grace upon us, Father of mercy, the Merciful One, please have mercy upon us. And place in our hearts understanding – to understand and enlighten, to listen and to learn and to teach, to observe and to do and to uphold all the words of the teachings of Your Torah with love. Enlighten our eyes with your Torah and let our hearts cleave to your Mitzvot [commandments] And unify our hearts to love and to fear Your Name. Let us not be ashamed and not embarrassed and not stumble – forever and ever. For In Your Holy Name – the Great, the Mighty, and the Awesome – we have faith. We rejoice and are gladdened with Your salvation. And Your Mercy, L·rd, our G·d, and may Your abundant kindness never leave us, selah, forever. Speedily Bring upon us Blessing and Peace (Gather the Tzitzit in ones left hand and place them against heart) from the four corners of the earth. And break the yoke of the nations from upon our necks, and bring us quickly to independence to our land – for You are G·d – implementer of salvation – and You selected us from every people and language and You brought us close, our King, to Your Great Name with love – to acknowledge You and to Unify and to Fear and to Love Your Name. Blessed are You, L·rd, Who selects His people Israel with Love.

And you shall love the L·rd, your G·d, with all your heart & with all your soul & with all your might. And these words which I command you this day shall be upon your heart. And you shall teach them diligently unto your children, speaking of them when you sit in your house & when you walk by the way, when your lie down & when you rise up. And you shall bind them for a sign upon your hand, & they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. And you shall write them upon the doorposts of your house & upon your gates.

וַיּאמֶר ה' אֶל משֶׁה לֵּאמר: דַּבֵּר אֶל בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וְאָמַרְתָּ אֲלֵהֶם וְעָשׂוּ לָהֶם צִיצִת עַל כַּנְפֵי בִגְדֵיהֶם לְדרתָם. וְנָתְנוּ עַל צִיצִת הַכָּנָף פְּתִיל תְּכֵלֶת: וְהָיָה לָכֶם לְצִיצִת וּרְאִיתֶם אתו וּזְכַרְתֶּם אֶת כָּל מִצְות ה' וַעֲשִׂיתֶם אתָם. וְלא תָתוּרוּ אַחֲרֵי לְבַבְכֶם וְאַחֲרֵי עֵינֵיכֶם אֲשֶׁר אַתֶּם זנִים אַחֲרֵיהֶם: לְמַעַן תִּזְכְּרוּ וַעֲשִׂיתֶם אֶת כָּל מִצְותָי. וִהְיִיתֶם קְדשִׁים לֵאלהֵיכֶם: אֲנִי ה' אֱלהֵיכֶם אֲשֶׁר הוצֵאתִי אֶתְכֶם מֵאֶרֶץ מִצְרַיִם לִהְיות לָכֶם לֵאלהִים. אֲנִי ה' אֱלהֵיכֶם: אֱמֶת: וחוזר הש"ץ - ה' אֱלהֵיכֶם אֱמֶת:

And it shall be that if you hearken diligently unto My commandments which I command you today, to love the L·rd your G·d & to serve Him with all your heart & all your soul, then I will send rain for your land in its proper time, the autumn rain & the spring rain, that you may gather in your grain, your wine & your oil. And I will give grass in your field for your cattle & you shall eat & be satisfied. Take heed to yourselves lest your heart be deceived, & you turn aside & serve other G-ds & bow to them. For then the L·rd's wrath will be kindled against you, & He will close up the heavens that there be no rain, & land shall not yield her produce, & you shall perish quickly from off the goodly land which the L·rd gives you. You shall lay My words, these upon your heart & upon your soul, & you shall bind them for a sign upon your hand, & they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. And you shall teach them to your children, speaking of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down & when you rise. So that the L·rd will lengthen your days & the days of your children upon the land which the L·rd promised to give to your fathers, as the days of the heavens above the earth,

And the L·rd spoke unto Moses, saying, speak unto the children of Israel & say to them to make for themselves a fringe on the borders of their garments, throughout their generations. And they shall place upon the fringe of the border, a thread of blue wool. And it shall be to you a fringe that you may look upon, & remember all the commandments of the L·rd & to do them. Then shall you not stray after your heart & your eyes whereafter you are wont to stray. So may you remember & do all My commandments & be holy for your G·d. I am the L·rd your G·d who brought you out of the land of Egypt to be your G·d; I am the L·rd your G·d. True.[And the Congregation Answers:] [This is] Truth: [And the Cantor Responds]: The L-rd, Your G-d, is True.

The blessings after the recital of Shema And this matter [the Torah] stands, and is correct, and remains, and is straight and trustworthy and beloved and dear and pleasant and beautiful and awesome and mighty and structured and accepted and good and nice for us forever and ever. Truth – You are the G·d of the Universe, our King, the Rock of Yaakov, Shield of our salvation. Every Generation He stands and His Hame stands. And His Throne is Stable and His Kingship and His Faith always stands, And His words are alive and standing and trustworthy and beloved forever (when one says “forever” kiss the Tzitzit in his hands, pass them over his eyes and release them from hands) And forever and ever. Upon our forefathers, upon us and upon our children, and upon our generation and upon every generation of the seed of Israel, Your servants.

Upon the first ones and upon the last ones – is is a good thing and it stands with truth, and faith, as a as a decree and it will not pass. Truth – that You are the L·rd, our G·d and G·d of our fathers, our King, King of our fathers. Our redeemer, Redeemer of our fathers. Our creator, the Rock of our redemption, [You are] our redeemer and savior. From before [time] is Your Name, and we have no other G·d, besides You. Selah.

You are the Helper of our fathers – from ever before. A Shield and a Savior for them and their children after them – in every single generation. In the heights of the Universe is Your abode. And Your Justice and Righteousness arrives to the end of the earth. Truth – Happy is the man that listens to Your commandments and Your Torah [law] and Your Word he places upon his heart. Truth – that You are the Master of Your people and a Mighty King that fights their battles – for the fathers & the children. Truth – that You are the first and You are the last and apart from You we have no king, redeemer or savior. Truth – From Egypt You redeemed us – L·rd, our G·d. From the house of bondage you ransomed us. All their first born You killed and Your first born – Yisrael – you redeemed. The Sea of Reeds, You split for them. And the intentionally wicked [Egyptians] You drowned. And the Beloved – passed [through] the sea. And the water covered their tormentors – not one of them remained. Upon this – give praise beloved ones – exultations to G·d, blessings and thanks to the King, Living and Standing G·d, Exalted & Uplifted, Great & Awesome, Who causes the Haughty to fall to the earth and the Lifts up the fallen to the heights. He takes out the emprisoned and redeems the humble , helps the pneedy and answers His people Yisrael at the time they Him. Said standing Praises to the lofty G-d – their Redeemer. Bless is He and [He is] the causer of blessing. Moses and the children of Israel – to You they answer in song with great exultation and they all say: Who is like You among the [false] G-ds [people worship] L·rd. Who is like You – Mighty in Holiness. Awesome. Praises that do wonders. A new song – those redeemed [by You] - to Your great name – on the banks of the sea. Together they acknowledged and acceped [Your] Kingship and said : The L·rd shall reign as King forever and ever. And it is said: Our Redeemer, L·rd of Hosts is His name – the Holy One of [the people of] Israel. Blessed are you L·rd who redeemed [the people of] Yisrael.

בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה ה', אֱלהֵינוּ וֵאלהֵי אֲבותֵינוּ, אֱלהֵי אַבְרָהָם. אֱלהֵי יִצְחָק וֵאלהֵי יַעֲקב. הָאֵל הַגָּדול הַגִּבּור וְהַנּורָא. אֵל עֶלְיון. גּומֵל חֲסָדִים טובִים. קונֵה הַכּל וְזוכֵר חַסְדֵי אָבות. וּמֵבִיא גּואֵל לִבְנֵי בְנֵיהֶם לְמַעַן שְׁמו בְּאַהֲבָה:

Main prayer "18" Known as "Shmoneh Esreh" (18 in Hebrew, due to 18 blessings in this prayer) This prayer is said while standing and keeping our legs connected. My L·rd, open my lips , & my mouth will speak Your praises.

You sustain the living with loving-kindness. You revive the dead with great compassion. You support the fallen & heal the ill. And You release those bound. And You fulfill Your faithfulness to those who sleep in the ground.

וְנֶאֱמָן אַתָּה לְהַחֲיות מֵתִים: בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה ה' , מְחַיֶּה הַמֵּתִים:

On the 10 days of Tshuva (the days between Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur) add: Who is like You, Master of [all] powers, King, Who causes death & gives life & causes salvation to sprout.

In a single prayer this passage is not said: (Said by the prayer leader when praying with a crowd) We will sanctify you and adore you. As a secret discourse the shrines of holiness that make you holy. And so it is written by the prophet. And he called one to another, and said. Holy Holy Holy L-rd of all Armies. Fill the whole land with his honor: On the other hand, they praise and say - Blessed be the glory of G-d from his place: And in the words of thy holiness it is written, saying, The L-rd reigneth for ever, O G-d, unto Zion, unto the name of the L-rd and to the name of the L-rd:

אַתָּה חונֵן לְאָדָם דַּעַת. וּמְלַמֵּד לֶאֱנושׁ בִּינָה. וְחָנֵּנוּ מֵאִתְּךָ חָכְמָה בִּינָה וָדָעַת: בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה ה' , חונֵן הַדָּעַת:

You are Holy, & Your Name is holy, & Your holy ones will praise You every day, forever. Blessed are You L·rd the Holy G·d. (10 days of Tshuva – the Holy King)

You graciously bestow knowledge to man, & teach mortals understanding, & graciously bestow upon us from Yourself wisdom, understanding & knowledge. Blessed are You L·rd, Who graciously bestows knowledge.

Pardon us, our Father, for we transgressed. Forgive us, our King for we sinned. For You are a good & forgiving G·d. Blessed are You L·rd, gracious One, Who abundantly pardons.

On a public fast day, the prayer leader recites this: (do not say when praying solitarily) Answer us, Our Father, answer us on the day of this fast, for we are in great trouble. Do not turn to our wicked ones, and do not ignore, our King, at our request. Be close To our dismay. We have not yet called you, and you will answer. We will speak and you will hear as it is said: "and they were yet to call and I will answer. They are still talking and I will hear." For you are, the L-rd who redeems and saves and answers and has mercy at all times of trouble and distress: Blessed are you, O L-rd, who answers His people of Israel in times of trouble:

בקיץ - בָּרְכֵנוּ ה' אֱלהֵינוּ בְּכָל מַעֲשֵי יָדֵינוּ. וּבָרֵךְ שְׁנָתֵנוּ בְּטַלְלֵי רָצון בְּרָכָה וּנְדָבָה. וּתְהִי אַחֲרִיתָהּ חַיִּים וְשָׂבָע וְשָׁלום כַּשָּׁנִים הַטּובות לִבְרָכָה. כִּי אֵל טוב וּמֵטִיב אַתָּה וּמְבָרֵךְ הַשָּׁנִים: בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה ה' , מְבָרֵךְ הַשָּׁנִים:

Heal us, L·rd, & we will be healed. Save us & we will be saved, for You are our Praise. And bring a cure & healing for all of our ailments, & all our pains, & all our wounds for, G·d You are a compassionate & faithful healer. Blessed are You L·rd, Who heals the ill of His people, Yisrael.

תְּקַע בְּשׁופָר גָּדול לְחֵרוּתֵנוּ. וְשָׂא נֵס לְקַבֵּץ גָּלֻיּותֵינוּ. וְקַבְּצֵנוּ יַחַד מֵאַרְבַּע כַּנְפות (יכוין שם קדוש חב"ו) הָאָרֶץ לְאַרְצֵנוּ: בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה ה' , מְקַבֵּץ נִדְחֵי עַמּו יִשְׂרָאֵל:

In autumn/winter time, say: Bless for us, L·rd, our G·d, this year, & all types of its produce for good, & provide dew & rain for blessing on the entire face of the land & quench the face of the earth, & satiate the entire world with Your good, & fill our hands from Your blessings & the wealth of the gifts of Your hands. Protect & save this year from any bad thing, & any kind of destruction, & any kind of retribution, & make for it good hope, & an ending of peace. Have compassion & mercy upon it & upon all of its produce & fruits, & bless it with rains of goodwill, blessing & benevolence, & let its end be with life, & satiety & peace, like the good years of blessing, for You are a good & benevolent G·d & You bless the years. Blessed are You L·rd, Who blesses the years.

הָשִׁיבָה שׁופְטֵינוּ כְּבָרִאשׁונָה. וְיועֲצֵינוּ כְּבַתְּחִלָּה. וְהָסֵר מִמֶּנּוּ יָגון (סמאל) וַאֲנָחָה (לילית). וּמְלוךְ עָלֵינוּ מְהֵרָה אַתָּה ה' לְבַדְּךָ. בְּחֶסֶד וּבְרַחֲמִים בְּצֶדֶק וּבְמִשְׁפָּט: בעשרת ימי תשובה אומרים - הַמֶּלֶךְ הַמִּשְׁפָּט: בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה ה' , מֶלֶךְ אוהֵב צְדָקָה וּמִשְׁפָּט:

Sound a great Shofar (rams horn for Mashiah'), for our freedom, & raise a flag to gather our exiles, & assemble us together quickly from the four corners of the earth to our land (of Israel). Blessed are You, that assembles the displaced of His people, Israel.

לַמִּינִים וְלַמַּלְשִׁינִים אַל תְּהִי תִקְוָה וְכָל הַזֵּדִים כְּרֶגַע יאבֵדוּ. וְכָל אויְבֶךָ (סמאל) וְכָל שׂונְאֶיךָ (לילית) מְהֵרָה יִכָּרֵתוּ. וּמַלְכוּת הָרִשְׁעָה מְהֵרָה תְעַקֵּר וּתְשַׁבֵּר וּתְכַלֵּם וְתַכְנִיעֵם בִּמְהֵרָה בְיָמֵינוּ: בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה יָהָוָהָ , שׁובֵר אויְבִים וּמַכְנִיעַ זֵדִים:

Restore our Judges (of the Sanhedrin) as at first, & our advisers as in the beginning, & remove from us sorrow & groan, & rule upon us speedily, You alone L·rd, with lovingkindness & compassion, with righteousness & justice Blessed are You, L·rd, King Who loves righteousness & justice. [In 10 Days of Tshuva Say instead: The King, The Judge]

עַל הַצַּדִּיקִים וְעַל הַחֲסִידִים וְעַל שְׁאֵרִית עַמְּךָ בֵּית יִשְׂרָאֵל. וְעַל זִקְנֵיהֶם. וְעַל פְּלֵיטַת בֵּית סופְרֵיהֶם. וְעַל גֵּרֵי הַצֶּדֶק וְעָלֵינוּ. יֶהֱמוּ נָא רַחֲמֶיךָ ה' אֱלהֵינוּ וְתֵן שָׂכָר טוב לְכָל הַבּוטְחִים בְּשִׁמְךָ בֶּאֱמֶת. וְשִׂים חֶלְקֵנוּ עִמָּהֶם. וּלְעולָם לא נֵבושׁ כִּי בְךָ בָּטָחְנוּ. וְעַל חַסְדְּךָ הַגָּדול בֶּאֱמֶת נִשְׁעָנְנוּ: בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה ה' , מִשְׁעָן וּמִבְטָח לַצַּדִּיקִים:

For the informers & the heretics, let their be no hope. And all the wicked, let them perish in an instant, And all Your enemies & all Your haters, may they quickly be terminated, & as for a wicked government, may You uproot & smash & terminate & subdue them speedily in our days. תִּשְׁכּון בְּתוךְ יְרוּשָׁלַיִם עִירְךָ כַּאֲשֶׁר דִּבַּרְתָּ. וְכִסֵּא דָוִד עַבְדְּךָ מְהֵרָה בְתוכָהּ תָּכִין וּבְנֵה אותָהּ בִּנְיַן עולָם בִּמְהֵרָה בְיָמֵינוּ: בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה ה' , בּונֵה יְרוּשָׁלָיִם:

Upon the righteous & the pious, & all the remnant of Your people, the House of Israel, & on their elders, & on the remnant of the academies of [Torah] sages, & upon the righteous converts & upon us, awaken, please, Your mercy L·rd, our G·d, & give us good reward, to all that have true faith in Your Name, & place our lot with them, & upon Your great mercy, we truly rely. Blessed are You, L·rd, a support & an assurance, for the righteous.

אֶת צֶמַח דָּוִד עַבְדְּךָ מְהֵרָה תַצְמִיחַ וְקַרְנו תָּרוּם בִּישׁוּעָתֶךָ. כִּי לִישׁוּעָתְךָ קִוִּינוּ וְצִפִּינוּ כָּל הַיּום: בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה ה' , מַצְמִיחַ קֶרֶן יְשׁוּעָה:

Dwell within Jerusalem Your city, as You spoke about, & the throne of David, Your servant, speedily prepare it within it, & build it an eternal structure speedily in our days. Blessed are You, L·rd, Who builds Jerusalem.

שְׁמַע קולֵנוּ ה' אֱלהֵינוּ. אָב הָרַחֲמָן חוּס רַחֵם עָלֵינוּ. וְקַבֵּל בְּרַחֲמִים וּבְרָצון אֶת תְּפִלָּתֵנוּ. כִּי אֵל שׁומֵעַ תְּפִלּות וְתַחֲנוּנִים אָתָּה: וּמִלְּפָנֶיךָ מַלְכֵּנוּ רֵיקָם אַל תְּשִׁיבֵנוּ חָנֵּנוּ וַעֲנֵנוּ וּשְׁמַע תְּפִלָּתֵנוּ:

The offspring of [the Kingship of] David, Your servant, may you speedily cause to blossom, & raise his horn (i.e., Power) with Your salvation, for Your salvation, for we hope for & look forward to all day. Blessed are You, L·rd, Who causes the horn of salvation to sprout.

בתענית ציבור יאמר היחיד "עננו", וכן הש"ץ ששכח לומר "עננו" בין גואל לרופא, יאמר כאן ביחיד בלי חתימה: עֲנֵנוּ אָבִינוּ עֲנֵנוּ בְּיום צום הַתַּעֲנִית הַזֶּה כִּי בְצָרָה גְּדולָה אֲנָחְנוּ. אַל תֵּפֶן לְרִשְׁעֵנוּ וְאַל תִּתְעַלָּם מַלְכֵּנוּ מִבַּקָּשָׁתֵנוּ. הֱיֵה נָא קָרוב לְשַׁוְעָתֵנוּ. טֶרֶם נִקְרָא אֵלֶיךָ אַתָּה תַעֲנֶה. נְדַבֵּר וְאַתָּה תִשְׁמַע כַּדָּבָר שֶׁנֶּאֱמַר וְהָיָה טֶרֶם יִקְרָאוּ וַאֲנִי אֶעֱנֶה. עוד הֵם מְדַבְּרִים וַאֲנִי אֶשְׁמָע. כִּי אַתָּה ה' פּודֶה וּמַצִּיל וְעונֶה וּמְרַחֵם בְּכָל עֵת צָרָה וְצוּקָה:

Hear our voice L·rd our G·d, merciful Father, have pity & mercy upon us, & accept with mercy & favor our prayers, for You are G·d, Who hears prayers & supplications. And from before You, our King, do not send us back empty [handed], grace us [with benevolence], & respond to us & hear our prayers,

כִּי אַתָּה שׁומֵעַ תְּפִלַּת כָּל פֶּה: בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה יהְוָה, שׁומֵעַ תְּפִלָּה:

On a public fast day, a singular prayer adds: Answer us, Our Father, answer us on the day of this fast, for we are in great trouble. Do not turn to our wicked ones, and do not ignore, our King, at our request. Be close To our dismay. We have not yet called you, and you will answer. We will speak and you will hear as it is said: "and they were yet to call and I will answer. They are still talking and I will hear." For you are, the L-rd who redeems and saves and answers and has mercy at all times of trouble and distress:

רְצֵה ה' אֱלהֵינוּ בְּעַמְּךָ יִשְׂרָאֵל וְלִתְפִלָּתָם שְׁעֵה. וְהָשֵׁב הָעֲבודָה לִדְבִיר בֵּיתֶךָ. וְאִשֵּׁי יִשְׂרָאֵל וּתְפִלָּתָם מְהֵרָה בְּאַהֲבָה תְקַבֵּל בְּרָצון. וּתְהִי לְרָצון תָּמִיד עֲבודַת יִשְׂרָאֵל עַמֶּךָ:

for You hear the prayer of each mouth. Blessed are You, our G·d, Who hears prayer.

Find favor, L·rd, our G·d, in Your people Israel, & to their prayers turn, & restore the [divine offering] service to the inner Sanctuary of Your house, & the fires [of the offerings] of Israel & their prayers speedily lovingly accept with favor, & let You continually have satisfaction from the service of Your people Israel.

וְאַתָּה בְרַחֲמֶיךָ הָרַבִּים. תַּחְפּץ בָּנוּ וְתִרְצֵנוּ וְתֶחֱזֶינָה עֵינֵינוּ בְּשׁוּבְךָ לְצִיּון בְּרַחֲמִים: בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה ה' , הַמַּחֲזִיר שְׁכִינָתו לְצִיּון:

On Rosh Hodesh, Intermed. days Passover & Sukot say: Our G·d, & G·d of Our forefathers, may it rise, & come, arrive, appear, find favor, & be heard, & be considered, & be remembered & our remembrance, & the remembrance of our Patriarchs, & the remembrance of Jerusalem, Your city, & the remembrance of the Messiah, the son of David, Your servant, & the remembrance of your entire People, the house of Israel before You – for deliverance, for good, for grace, for kindness, & mercy, for a good life, on this day of On Rosh chodesh: the head of the month. On Intermediary days of Passover: the Holiday of Matzot, on this day of Holy Convocation. On Intermediary days of Sukkot: Holiday of Sukkot. On this day of Holy Convocation. to have mercy on it (this day) upon us & to save us. Remember L·rd, our G·d, on it for good, & consider us on it with blessing, & deliver us on it for good life, With a pronouncement of deliverance & mercy. Take pity & be gracious to us, & have mercy & be compassionate with us & save us for upon You are our eyes turned, For You are G·d, King, gracious & compassionate.

כאשר אומרים את המילים "מודים אנחנו לך" כורעים קדימה עם פלג הגוף העליון ומתיישרים מודִים אֲנַחְנוּ לָךְ שֶׁאַתָּה הוּא ה' אֱלהֵינוּ וֵאלהֵי אֲבותֵינוּ לְעולָם וָעֶד. צוּרֵנוּ צוּר חַיֵּינוּ וּמָגֵן יִשְׁעֵנוּ אַתָּה הוּא. לְדר וָדר נודֶה לְךָ וּנְסַפֵּר תְּהִלָּתֶךָ. עַל חַיֵּינוּ הַמְּסוּרִים בְּיָדֶךָ. וְעַל נִשְׁמותֵינוּ הַפְּקוּדות לָךְ. וְעַל נִסֶּיךָ שֶׁבְּכָל יום עִמָּנוּ וְעַל נִפְלְאותֶיךָ וְטובותֶיךָ שֶׁבְּכָל עֵת. עֶרֶב וָבקֶר וְצָהֳרָיִם. הַטּוב כִּי לא כָלוּ רַחֲמֶיךָ. הַמְרַחֵם כִּי לא תַמּוּ חֲסָדֶיךָ כִּי מֵעולָם קִוִּינוּ לָךְ:

And You, with Your great compassion, desire us & let us be dear, & may our eyes see Your return to Zion with compassion. Bless You, L·rd, Who returns His Divine Presence to Zion.

מודים דרבנן: (נאמר בחזרת הש"צ כאשר מתפללים במניין) *המתפלל ביחיד אינו אומר קטע זה מודִים אֲנַחְנוּ לָךְ שֶׁאַתָּה הוּא ה' אֱלהֵינוּ וֵאלהֵי אֲבותֵינוּ אֱלהֵי כָל בָּשָׂר. יוצְרֵנוּ יוצֵר בְּרֵאשִׁית. בְּרָכות וְהודָאות לְשִׁמְךָ הַגָּדול וְהַקָּדושׁ עַל שֶׁהֶחֱיִיתָנוּ וְקִיַּמְתָּנוּ. כֵּן תְּחַיֵּינוּ וּתְחָנֵּנוּ. וְתֶאֱסוף גָּלֻיּותֵינוּ לְחַצְרות קָדְשֶׁךָ. לִשְׁמר חֻקֶּיךָ וְלַעֲשׂות רְצונְךָ. וּלְעָבְדְּךָ בְּלֵבָב שָׁלֵם. עַל שֶׁאֲנַחְנוּ מודִים לָךְ. בָּרוּךְ אֵל הַהודָאות:

Upon saying the words "We are Grateful to You" one bows We are grateful to You, that You are He Who is the L·rd, our G·d, & G·d of our fathers forever, & our Rock, the Rock of our lives & You are He Who is a Shield of salvation. For each & every generation, we will thank You & will relate Your praise, upon our lives that are placed in Your Hands, & upon our souls, that are entrusted in Your hands (when we sleep), & upon Your miracles that all day are with us, & all Your wonders & goodness at all times, at night, & morning & afternoon. The Good [One], for Your mercy never ends, The Merciful [One are You], for Your loving-kindness never ceases, forever we have hope in You.

בחנוכה ופורים אומרים על הניסים: אם שכח, יכול לאומרו בסיום "אלוהי נצור" וכה יאמר: מודים אנחנו לך על הניסים ועל הפורקן וכו'. אם שכח לגמרי, אינו חוזר לראש התפילה. וְעַל הַנִּסִּים וְעַל הַפֻּרְקָן. וְעַל הַגְּבוּרות. וְעַל הַתְּשׁוּעות וְעַל הַנִּפְלָאות וְעַל הַנֶּחָמות שֶׁעָשִׂיתָ לַאֲבותֵינוּ בַּיָּמִים הָהֵם בַּזְּמַן הַזֶּה:

While praying with a crowd, the prayer leader recites the blessing of "Modim", while the crowd recites this following Modim, named "Modim Derabanan" - Modim that has been versed by the smart:(do not say when praying solitarily) We thank you that you are the L·rd, our G·d and the G·d of our fathers, G·d of all flesh. Our creator, the creator of the beginning. Blessings and thanks to Your great and holy name, for resurrecting and establishing us. Such, revive us and have mercy on us. And gather our exiles to the courts of your sanctuary. To preserve Your laws and do your will. And to your serve You wholeheartedly. For we thank you. Blessed is the L·rd of thanks:

On Chanukkah and Purim we add: On the miracles And on the discharge And for the mighty works, and for the miracles, and for the wonders, and for the consolations, which thou didst unto our fathers in those days in those days,

On Chanukkah: In the days of Matthias the son of Yohanan, the Great Cohen. Hashmonai, and his sons, when the kingdom of the wicked Greece reigned over thy people Israel. There will To forget your law and to pass on the laws of Israel. Thou with much mercy thou set before them in their time of trouble. You fought their fights. You have judged there laws. You avenged their vengeance. You handed over heroes to the weak. And handed many in the hands of the few. And the wicked in the hands of the righteous. And the impure in the hands of the pure. And the wicked in the hands of those who practice your law. You have made a great and holy name for yourself in your world. On Purim: In the days of Mordechai and Esther in the capital Shushan. When the wicked Haman stood over them. Asked to destroy and kill and lose all the Jews from youth to old age, including children and women, in one day. On the thirteenth of the month of Adar. And pay them contempt. And thou, in thy many mercies, You violated his advice and ruined his thoughts. And You restored him with repayment in his head. And they hanged him and his sons on the tree. And thou performed with them a miracle and a wonder, and we pay thanks to thy great name:

Upon all of these, You are Blessed, You are Exalted & Uplifted (in our mouths) always, Your Name, our King, forever & ever & all the living will praise You evermore. [In 10 Days of Tshuva add: And write to good life all of Your allies]. And they will praise, & they will bless Your Great Name truely, constantly, for It is good, the G·d of our Salvation & our Assistance, the Good G·d. Blessed are You L·rd, the Good, Your Name & You are befitting to give thanks.

שִׂים שָׁלום טובָה וּבְרָכָה חַיִּים חֵן וָחֶסֶד צְדָקָה וְרַחֲמִים עָלֵינוּ וְעַל כָּל יִשְׂרָאֵל עַמֶּךָ וּבָרְכֵנוּ אָבִינוּ כֻּלָּנוּ כְּאֶחָד בְּאור פָּנֶיךָ כִּי בְאור פָּנֶיךָ נָתַתָּ לָנוּ ה' אֱלהֵינוּ תּורָה וְחַיִּים. אַהֲבָה וָחֶסֶד. צְדָקָה וְרַחֲמִים. בְּרָכָה וְשָׁלום. וְטוב בְּעֵינֶיךָ לְבָרְכֵנוּ וּלְבָרֵךְ אֶת כָּל עַמְּךָ יִשְׂרָאֵל בְּרוב עז וְשָׁלום:

When praying in a Minyan (a crowd of minimum 10 participants), Birkat HaCohanim is recited by the prayer leader. *If praying singular, don't recite. Prayer leader recites while the Cohens repeat word for word: [May the] L·rd bless you & protect you. [Cong. Answers : Amen] [May the] L·rd shine His countenance upon you & give you grace. [Cong. Answers : Amen] [May the] L·rd lift His countenance upon you & place peace upon you. [Cong. Answers : Amen] If no Cohens are present, the prayer leader recites the following and the crowd answers "May it Be His Will". Our G-d and the G-d of our fathers blessed us with the threefold blessing in the Torah, written by Moses Your servant, said by Aharon and his sons, the Cohanim (priests), Your holy nation, as mentioned: [May the] L·rd bless you & protect you. [Cong. Answers : Thus, May it Be His Will] [May the] L·rd shine His countenance upon you & give you grace. [Cong. Answers : Thus, May it Be His Will] [May the] L·rd lift His countenance upon you & place peace upon you. [Cong. Answers : Thus, May it Be His Will] And put my name upon the people of Israel, and I will bless them.

Establish peace, good, & blessing, life, grace & kindness, & compassion upon us & upon all Israel, Your Nation, & bless us our Father all of us together with the light of Your countenance, For with the light of Your countenance, You gave us, L·rd, our G·d, Torah & Life, Love & Kindness, Righteousness & Compassion, Blessing & Peace, & it is Good in Your eyes to bless us, & to bless all Your people Israel, with great force & peace.

May they find favor, the words of my mouth & the thoughts of my heart, before You, L·rd, my Rock & my Redeemer. My G·d! Guard my tongue from Bad, & my lips from [speaking] deceit. And those that curse me, let my soul be silent. And let my soul be like the dust to all. Open my heart to Your Torah, & after Your Mitzvot (commandments) let my soul pursue, & all that rise against me for bad, quickly nullify their counsel & ruin their thoughts. Do [it] for the sake of Your Name, do [it] for the sake of Your right (mercy), do [it] for the sake of Your Torah, do [it] for the sake of Your Holiness. For the sake of refraining Your beloved (Israel, from sufferance), Your right (mercy) Deliver [us], & answer us. On a day when "Plea" is not said, recite: May the Name of the L·rd be Blessed from Now and evermore. From the East of the Sun until its rising – praised is the Name of the L·rd. Exalted above all nations – is the L·rd – upon the heavens which he Honors. L·rd – our Master – How mighty is Your name throughout the land.

Plea said while standing Please L·rd, Our G·d and G·d of Our Fathers – Let Our Prayer come before You & do not conceal Yourself, Our King, from our supplications. For we are not brazen faced & stiff necked to say before You, L·rd, our G-d & G-d of our Fathers – we are righteous and we have not sinned. Rather we have sinned, we have been crooked and transgressed – we and our fathers and the people of our household. We were guilty. We Rebelled. We Stole. We spoke slander and evil speech. We caused iniquity, We caused evil. We did intentional bad. We did violence. We accused falsely and deceitfully. We provided bad advice. We spoke falsity. We became angry. We mocked. We rebelled. We rebelled against your word. We provoked. We committed adultery. We left the path. We transgressed deliberately. We damaged. We caused pain. We caused pain to our father and mother. We were stiff necked. We were evil. We destroyed. We did despicable things. We made people err. We left Your Commandments and Your good laws & they were not worthy of us. And You are righteous on everything that happens to us – for You did truth and we acted wickedly.

13 Attributes of Mercy G·d, long to anger You are and a Master of mercy. The Greatness of Your mercy and kindness recall today for Your beloved seed, like You told the humble one [Moshe / Moses] from old. And also it is written in Your Torah: “And the L·rd descended in a cloud & stood with him [Moshe/ Moses] there [in the tent of meeting]. And he called out with name – L·rd – and there it is said: And the L·rd passed by before him [Moshe] and he called: L·rd, L·rd – (1) G·d (2) Merciful & (3) Gracious, (4) Long (5) to anger and (6) Great in Kindness (7) and Truth. (8) His Kindness is faithful (9) for thousands [of generations] (10) He bears iniquity, (11) and sin (12) and transgression (13) and absolves [those who repent]. Merciful & Gracious One, We sinned before you – have mercy upon us and save us.

אָבִינוּ מַלְכֵּנוּ אָבִינוּ אַתָּה. אָבִינוּ מַלְכֵּנוּ אֵין לָנוּ מֶלֶךְ אֶלָּא אַתָּה. אָבִינוּ מַלְכֵּנוּ רַחֵם עָלֵינוּ: אָבִינוּ מַלְכֵּנוּ חָנֵּנוּ וַעֲנֵנוּ כִּי אֵין בָּנוּ מַעֲשִׂים. עֲשֵׂה עִמָּנוּ צְדָקָה וָחֶסֶד לְמַעַן שִׁמְךָ הַגָּדול וְהושִׁיעֵנוּ: וַאֲנַחְנוּ לא נֵדַע מַה נַּעֲשֶׂה כִּי עָלֶיךָ עֵינֵינוּ: זְכר רַחֲמֶיךָ ה' וַחֲסָדֶיךָ. כִּי מֵעולָם הֵמָּה: יְהִי חַסְדְּךָ ה' עָלֵינוּ. כַּאֲשֶׁר יִחַלְנוּ לָךְ: אַל תִּזְכָּר לָנוּ עֲונות רִאשׁונִים מַהֵר יְקַדְּמוּנוּ רַחֲמֶיךָ. כִּי דַלּונוּ מְאד: עֶזְרֵנוּ בְּשֵׁם ה'. עושֶׂה שָׁמַיִם וָאָרֶץ: חָנֵּנוּ ה' חָנֵּנוּ. כִּי רַב שָׂבַעְנוּ בוּז: בְּרגֶז רַחֵם תִּזְכּר. בְּרגֶז אַהֲבָה תִּזְכּר: בְּרגֶז, עֲקֵדָה תִּזְכּר. בְּרגֶז, תְּמִימוּת תִּזְכּר: ה' הושִׁיעָה. הַמֶּלֶךְ יַעֲנֵנוּ בְּיום קָרְאֵנוּ: כִּי הוּא יָדַע יִצְרֵנוּ. זָכוּר כִּי עָפָר אֲנָחְנוּ: עָזְרֵנוּ אֱלהֵי יִשְׁעֵנוּ עַל דְּבָר כְּבוד שְׁמֶךָ. וְהַצִּילֵנוּ וְכַפֵּר עַל חַטּאתֵינוּ לְמַעַן שְׁמֶךָ:

said while seated [A Psalm] by David – To You L·rd do I lift my soul. My G·d I have faith in You – Don't let me be embarrassed or let my enemies exult. Also all who have faith – let them not be embarrassed, let the enemies be embarrassed for naught. Let me understand me your ways L·rd and teach me your paths. Guide me in your truth and teach [it to] me – for You are the G·d of my salvation – in You I have faith all day. Remember Your mercy – L·rd – and Your kindness – for they are eternal. The sins of my youth and transgressions do not recall because of your kindness You remember me because of Your goodness. Good & justare You L·rd – therefor You show sinners the [proper] path. You guide the humble with justice and You teach the humble his way. All the paths of the L·rd are kindness & truth to those faithful to His covenant & testimonies. For the sake of Your name L·rd – forgive my transgressions – for they are many. Who is this man that fears the L·rd – You lead him on the select path. His soul depends on good and his seed will inherit the land. The foundation of the L·rd is for those who fear Him and His covenant is for those that accept them. My eyes are constantly towards the L·rd – for he brings me out of the net on my feet. Turn to me and have grace upon me for I am unique and needy [person]. The sufferings of my heart have widened – from their pains You took me out. Observe my poverty and effort & remove all my sins. Observe my enemies, for they have increased. And with a violent hate did they despise me. Guard my soul and save me don't make me embarrassed for I place my trust in You. Simple and just You formed me – thus I put my trust in You. Redeem G·d Yisrael from all who cause them pain. And He will redeem Yisrael from all its sins L·rd, G·d of Yisrael – return from Your wrathful anger. And have mercy on the evil to to your people.

And we – don't know what to do – for our eyes are upon You [to help us]. Recall Your mercy L·rd and Your kindness, for they are eternal. May your kindness L·rd be upon us – when we plead to You. Do not recall about us - our first sins – quickly let your mercy precede it – for we were very lowly. Help us in the Name of the L·rd. For we were subject greatly to degradation. In Your wrath, recall Your mercy. In Your wrath, recall Your love. L·rd save [us]! [You are] the King that answers on the day we call. For You knew our inclinations – remember that we are [only] dust. Help us – G·d of our salvation – for the matter of Your Name's honor. And save us and give atonement on our sins for the sake of Your Name.

On Mondays and Thursdays, on a day when Plea is not recited, before bringing out the Torah we recite: May the L-rd our G-d be with us, as he was with our fathers. Do not abandon us or forsake us: Save your people and bless your inheritance And shepherd them and raise them forever. For the sake of David your servant, do not send back the one You anointed: Blessed is He that has given the Torah to His nation, the people of Israel, Blessed is He: Blessed is the nation that this is how it is for them, Blessed is the nation that the L-rd is their G-d:

ומגביה ספר תורה ומראה הכתב לקהל ואומרים: וְזאת הַתּורָה אֲשֶׁר שָׂם משֶׁה לִפְנֵי בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל: תּורָה צִוָּה לָנוּ משֶׁה מורָשָׁה קְהִלּת יַעֲקב: הָאֵל תָּמִים דַּרְכּו אִמְרַת ה' צְרוּפָה מָגֵן הוּא לְכָל הַחוסִים בּו: וקורין בפרשת השבוע ג' גברים. אין פוחתין ואין מוסיפין עליהם.

Reading in the Torah While bringing out the Torah, the cantor recites along with the crowd: Magnify G-d with me and we shall exalt His name together. Exalt the L-rd, our G-d. And bow down to Him, for holy He is: Exalt the L-rd, our G-d, and worship at His mountain of holliness, for the L-rd, our G-d is holy: There is no holy like the L-rd, for there is none like you. And there is no flint like our G-d: For who is G-d, except the L-rd? And who is flint besides our G-d? The Torah has been comanded to us by Moses, inherited from the congregation of Jacob: It is a tree of life to those who hold on to it, and its supporters are happy: Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace: Much peace to the admirers of your laws and they have no obstacle in it: G-d will give strength to His people. G-d will bless His people with peace: For the name of the L-rd I will call, magnify our G-d: All give strength to G-d and honor the Torah:

Happy are those Happy are those that dwell in Your house, they will yet praise You forever. Happy is the people for whom this is so, happy is the people that the L·rd is their G·d. A praise of David, I will exalt You my G·d, the King, & I will bless Your Name forever & ever. Every day I will bless you, & I will laud Your Name forever & ever. Great is the L·rd & He is greatly lauded, & His Greatness is unfathomable. Generation to generation will praise Your deeds, & Your mighty acts they will relate. The splendorous glory of Your Majesty & Your wondrous acts I shall discuss. And the might of Your awesome acts they will speak & Your greatness, I will relate. A recollection of Your great goodness they will express & Your righteousness they will sing. Gracious & Merciful is the L·rd, Slow-to anger & Great in kindness. The L·rd is good to all & His Mercies are on all His works. All Your works shall thank You, L·rd, & Your pious ones shall bless You. Of the glory of Your Kingdom they will relate, & Your Might they shall speak.To inform human beings of Your Mighty acts & of the glorious Majesty of His Kingdom. Your Kingship is Kingship of all worlds & Your dominion is for all generations. The L·rd supports all those who fall, & He straightens all who are bent over. The eyes of all are [looking] upon You for hope, & You provide them their food in the proper time. * You open Your hand, & You satisfy all the living's wants. Righteous is the L·rd in all His ways, & Pious in all His deeds. The L·rd is close to all who call Him, to all that call upon Him with sincerity. The will of those that fear Him He will do, & their cries He will hear & save them. The L·rd protects all who love Him, & all of the wicked He will destroy. Praise of the L·rd will my mouth speak, & all flesh shall bless His holy Name for ever & ever. And we will bless G·d from now to eternity. [Let us all] Praise G·d!

And came to Zion a redeemer and to the people of Jacob who regret their sins. The speech of the L-rd: And I have made a covenant with them, saith the L-rd, my spirit, which is upon thee, and my words which I have put in thy mouth - Shall not leave your mouth nor the mouth of your children, nor the mouth of your childrens' children. saith the L-rd, from henceforth and forever: And You are holy. Seated in the glory of Israel: And He called one to another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, L-rd of hosts. The whole land is filled with His honor: {Aramaic} And a wind lifted me and I heard a great noise after me. Blesses is the L-rds honor from His place. {Aramaic} G-d will reign forever and ever: {Aramaic} G-d, the L-rd of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, our fathers, keep this forever, to create the thoughts of the hearts of your people. And prepare their hearts to thee: And He is merciful, he will atone for iniquity, and he will not corrupt, and he will often turn down His anger. And shall not stir up all His wrath: For You are a good and forgiving L-rd. And merciful to all who call You: Your righteousness is righteous forever. And your Torah is true: Give truth to Jacob and kindness to Abraham. Which thou didst swear to our fathers from days of old; Blessed be the L-rd, our G-d, day by day. The L-rd shall load our salvation: G-d hosts is with us. An exaltion for us is The G-d of Jacob: G-d armies. Blessed is the man that trusteth in thee: G-d, save. The king will answer us on the day we call: Blessed be our G-d who created us in His honor and set us apart from the lost and gave us the Torah of truth and endless life has planted within us. He will open our hearts to His Torah. And put in our hearts His love and awe to do His will and to serve Him wholeheartedly. We shall not touch to emptiness and we shall not give birth to those who will cause panic. May it be Your will, the L-rd ,our G-d, and the G-d of our fathers that we shall keep Your laws and ordinances in this world. And we shall win and live and inherit goodness and blessing for the life of the next world: For to sing in Your honor and will not silence. G-d, my L-rd for ever I shall thank You. G-d desires for the sake of His righteousness. Shall increase Torah and be mightyful: And those who know Your name will trust in You. For You have not abandoned Your demanders, L-rd: G-d, Our L-rd. How great is thy name in all the earth! Strengthen and embrace in your hearts all who long for G-d:

The Torah is returned and then recite: Let them praise the name of the L-rd, for His name, His alone, is sublime; His splendor covers heaven and earth. He has exalted the horn of His people for the glory of all His faithful ones, Israel, the people close to Him. Hallelujah. The L-rd is the G-d, the L-rd is the G-d, in the heavens above, and on the earth beneath. no other: There is nothing like you in the G-ds, my L-rd, and nothing like your actions: Return us, L-rd, back to you and we shall return, renew our days as once.

Incense Offering And the L·rd said to Moshe – Take for yourself spices- balsam sap / Nataf / & onycha / Sh-h'elet & galbanum / H'elbona, spices & pure frankincense / Levona – each shall be of equal weight. And you shall prepare it (the spices) as incense – a compound, the work of a spice mixer, blended (or salted) pure & holy. And you shall grind from it very well, and you shall take from it, before the [tent of] testimony – in the Tent of Meeting - that I shall meet with you there – holy, holy it shall be for you. And it says – and Aharon shall offer as incense, the incense spices each & every morning when he cleans the lamps he shall offer it. And when Aharon Ascends, he shall offer the incense – a regular incense offering before the L·rd – throughout your generations.

(יא) קִנָּמון תִּשְׁעָה. בּורִית כַּרְשִׁינָא תִּשְׁעָה קַבִּין. יֵין קַפְרִיסִין סְאִין תְּלָת וְקַבִּין תְּלָתָא. וְאִם לא מָצָא יֵין קַפְרִיסִין מֵבִיא חֲמַר חִיוָר עַתִּיק. מֶלַח סְדומִית רובַע. מַעֲלֶה עָשָׁן כָּל שֶׁהוּא. רִבִּי נָתָן הַבַּבְלִי אומֵר: אַף כִּפַּת הַיַּרְדֵּן כָּל שֶׁהִיא. אִם נָתַן בָּהּ דְּבַשׁ פְּסָלָהּ. וְאִם חִסֵּר אַחַת מִכָּל סַמֲּמָנֶיהָ חַיָּב מִיתָה:

Our Rabbis Taught, The compound of the Incense, how was it done? Three-hundred & Sixty-eight Maneh (a measure) was in it – 365 [maneh] – like the count of the days of the solar year. One Maneh daily – half in the morning and half in the evening and the three extra maneh – where those of which the Chief Kohen entered [the holy of holies] and took from them a full palm-full on the Yom Kippur – he would return them to the grinder on the eve of Yom Kippur, in order to accomplish the mitzvah – in the finest of finest [way] and 11 spices were in it – and these are they: 1) Balsam 2) onycha 3) & galbanum 4) frankincense – the weight of 70 maneh each 5) myrrh 6) cassia 7) & spikenard 8) & saffron – [each] a weight of 16, 16 maneh. 9) costus – 12 maneh 10) aromatic bark – three [maneh] 11) cinnamon – 9 (maneh) [Added also were] Lye of Carsina – 9 Kavs (a measure), Wine of Cypres – 3 Seahs and 3 kavs- and if one did not find wine of Cypres – he brings old wine. Salt of Sodom – a quarter [of a kav.] An ascension of smoke – a small amount. Rabbi Nathan, the Babylonian, says – even the resin of the Jordan – a bit. If he put in it honey it is invalid and if he omitted one from all of its spices, he is liable for death [penalty].

רַבָּן שִׁמְעון בֶּן גַּמְלִיאֵל אומֵר: הַצֳּרִי אֵינו אֶלָּא שְׁרָף הַנּוטֵף מֵעֲצֵי הַקְּטָף. בּורִית כַּרְשִׁינָא לְמָה הִיא בָאָה כְּדֵי לְשַׁפּות בָּהּ אֶת הַצִּפּורֶן כְּדֵי שֶׁתְּהֵא נָאָה. יֵין קַפְרִיסִין לְמָה הוּא בָא כְּדֵי לִשְׁרות בּו אֶת הַצִּפּורֶן כְּדֵי שֶׁתְּהֵא עַזָּה. וַהֲלא מֵי רַגְלַיִם יָפִין לָהּ אֶלָּא שֶׁאֵין מַכְנִיסִין מֵי רַגְלַיִם בַּמִּקְדָּשׁ מִפְּנֵי הַכָּבוד:

Rabban Shimeon Son of Gamliel says : The Tzorit is sap, that flows from the Balsam tree. The Lye of Karsina, what does it come [to do]? – in order to rub the onycha in order for it to be beautiful. The wine of Cyprus, why is it brought? in order to soak in it the Onycha, in order for it to be sharp. But is not urine – better [to make it sharp] – rather we do not bring in urine into the Sanctuary out of respect.

תַּנְיָא רִבִּי נָתָן אומֵר: כְּשֶׁהוּא שׁוחֵק אומֵר הָדֵק הֵיטֵב. הֵיטֵב הָדֵק. מִפְּנֵי שֶׁהַקּול יָפֶה לַבְּשָׂמִים. פִּטְּמָה לַחֲצָאִין כְּשֵׁרָה. לְשָׁלִישׁ וּלְרָבִיעַ לא שָׁמַעְנוּ. אָמַר רִבִּי יְהוּדָה זֶה הַכְּלָל אִם כְּמִדָּתָהּ כְּשֵׁרָה לַחֲצָאִין. וְאִם חִסֵּר אַחַת מִכָּל סַמֲּמָנֶיהָ חַיָּב מִיתָה:

We learned in [a Baraita] Rabbi Nathan Says - When he chops – he says “Hadek Heitev, Hetitev Hadek / Chop Well, Well Chop” because the voice is good for spices. The incense compound divided in half is Kosher. For a third or a-quarter we did not hear [the law]. Rabbi Yehuda said “This is the general rule – if it is in the same proportion – it is Kosher for half, & if it lacks one from all of the spices – he is liable for the death penalty.

תָּנֵי בַר קַפָּרָא: אַחַת לְשִׁשִּׁים או לְשִׁבְעִים שָׁנָה הָיְתָה בָאָה שֶׁל שִׁירַיִם לַחֲצָאִין. וְעוד תָּנֵי בַר קַפָּרָא אִלּוּ הָיָה נותֵן בָּהּ קָרְטוב שֶׁל דְּבַשׁ אֵין אָדָם יָכול לַעֲמוד מִפְּנֵי רֵיחָהּ. וְלָמָּה אֵין מְעָרְבִין בָּהּ דְּבַש?ׁ מִפְּנֵי שֶׁהַתּורָה אָמְרָה כִּי כל שְׂאר וְכָל דְּבַשׁ לא תַקְטִירוּ מִמֶּנּוּ אִשֶּׁה לַה':

Bar Kapara taught once every sixty or seventy years there were remains [of the spices] of half. And Bar Kapparah also taught , if one was to add a Kartov [a measure] of honey a person would not be able to stand because of the fragrance. And why do we not mix in it honey? Because the Torah says “For any leaven or any honey, do not offer incense from it – as a fire offering. L·rd of hosts, is with us. He is our refuge for us the G·d of Yaakov / Jacob forever.

ה' צְבָאות עִמָּנוּ. מִשְׂגַּב לָנוּ אֱלהֵי יַעֲקב סֶלָה: ה' צְבָאות. אַשְׁרֵי אָדָם בּטֵחַ בָּךְ: ה' הושִׁיעָה. הַמֶּלֶךְ יַעֲנֵנוּ בְיום קָרְאֵנוּ: וְעָרְבָה לַה' מִנְחַת יְהוּדָה וִירוּשָׁלָיִם. כִּימֵי עולָם וּכְשָׁנִים קַדְמנִיּות:

G-d hosts with us. The G-d of Jacob exalts us: G-d hosts. Blessed is the man that has faith in You: L-rd, redeem. The king will answer us on the day we call: And the L-RD has fonded the offering of Judah and of Jerusalem. As the days of the world and ancient times (like the days of old):

עלינו לשבח עָלֵינוּ לְשַׁבֵּחַ לַאֲדון הַכּל. לָתֵת גְּדֻלָּה לְיוצֵר בְּרֵאשִׁית. שֶׁלּא עָשָׂנוּ כְּגויֵי הָאֲרָצות וְלא שָׂמָנוּ כְּמִשְׁפְּחות הָאֲדָמָה. שֶׁלּא שָׂם חֶלְקֵנוּ כָּהֶם וְגורָלֵנוּ כְּכָל הֲמונָם. שֶׁהֵם מִשְׁתַּחֲוִים לָהֶבֶל וָרִיק וּמִתְפַּלְּלִים אֶל אֵל לא יושִׁיעַ. (יפסיק מעט. וכשיאמר "ואנחנו משתחוים לפני מלך מלכי המלכים" יכרע כל גופו). וַאֲנַחְנוּ מִשְׁתַּחֲוִים לִפְנֵי מֶלֶךְ מַלְכֵי הַמְּלָכִים הַקָּדושׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא. שֶׁהוּא נוטֶה שָׁמַיִם וְיוסֵד אָרֶץ. וּמושַׁב יְקָרו בַּשָּׁמַיִם מִמַּעַל. וּשְׁכִינַת עֻזּו בְּגָבְהֵי מְרומִים. הוּא אֱלהֵינוּ וְאֵין עוד אַחֵר. אֱמֶת מַלְכֵּנוּ וְאֶפֶס זוּלָתו. כַּכָּתוּב בַּתּורָה. וְיָדַעְתָּ הַיּום וַהֲשֵׁבותָ אֶל לְבָבֶךָ כִּי ה' הוּא הָאֱלהִים בַּשָּׁמַיִם מִמַּעַל וְעַל הָאָרֶץ מִתָּחַת. אֵין עוד

עַל כֵּן נְקַוֶּה לָךְ ה' אֱלהֵינוּ לִרְאות מְהֵרָה בְּתִפְאֶרֶת עֻזָּךְ לְהַעֲבִיר גִּלּוּלִים מִן הָאָרֶץ וְהָאֱלִילִים כָּרות יִכָּרֵתוּן. לְתַקֵּן עולָם בְּמַלְכוּת שַׁדַּי. וְכָל בְּנֵי בָשָׂר יִקְרְאוּ בִשְׁמֶךָ לְהַפְנות אֵלֶיךָ כָּל רִשְׁעֵי אָרֶץ. יַכִּירוּ וְיֵדְעוּ כָּל יושְׁבֵי תֵבֵל. כִּי לְךָ תִכְרַע כָּל בֶּרֶךְ תִּשָּׁבַע כָּל לָשׁון. לְפָנֶיךָ ה' אֱלהֵינוּ יִכְרְעוּ וְיִפּלוּ וְלִכְבוד שִׁמְךָ יְקָר יִתֵּנוּ. וִיקַבְּלוּ כֻלָּם אֶת עול מַלְכוּתֶךָ. וְתִמְלוךְ עֲלֵיהֶם מְהֵרָה לְעולָם וָעֶד. כִּי הַמַּלְכוּת שֶׁלְּךָ הִיא. וּלְעולְמֵי עַד תִּמְלוךְ בְּכָבוד. כַּכָּתוּב בְּתורָתָךְ. ה' יִמְלךְ לְעלָם וָעֶד: וְנֶאֱמַר וְהָיָה ה' לְמֶלֶךְ עַל כָּל הָאָרֶץ. בַּיּום הַהוּא יִהְיֶה ה' אֶחָד וּשְׁמו אֶחָד:

Upon us to Praise It is [incumbent] upon us to praise the L·rd of all. To bestow Greatness to the Molder of creation, for He did not make us as the nations of the lands, & he did not establish us like the families of the earth, for He did not assign our portion as theirs, & our lot like all the multitudes - for they bow to vanity & emptiness & pray to a G-d that saves not. And we bow before the King, the King of all Kings, the Holy One, Blessed be He, Who spreads out the heavens & creates the foundation of the earth. And the seat of His precious abode is in Heaven above & the divine presence of his power, is in the highest heights. He is our G·d, & there is no other. Our G·d is true, & no other is beside Him. Like it is written in the Torah - "And you shall know today, & you shall take it to heart, that it is the L·rd (Hash·m), Who is G·d in the heavens above & upon the earth below. There is no other.”

טוב לומר פסוקים אלה אחר התפילה: ויאמר אם שמוע תשמע לקול ה' אלהיך והישר בעיניו תעשה והאזנת למצותיו ושמרת כל חקיו כל המחלה אשר שמתי במצרים לא אשים עליך כי אני ה' רופאך: עץ חיים היא למחזיקים בה ותומכיה מאושר: דרכיה דרכי נועם וכל נתיבותיה שלום: מגדל עוז שם ה' בו ירוץ צדיק ונשגב. כי בי ירבו ימיך ויוסיפו לך שנות חיים:

Therefor, we will hope to You L·rd, our G·d to see speedily the glory of Your Might - to remove abominable idolatry from the earth & the false G-ds be utterly terminated, to repair the world with the Kingship of the Al·mighty. And all living flesh will call in Your Name to turn back to You all the wicked of the earth. They will recognize & will know, all the inhabitants of the earth, that to You that every knee shall bow down, & every tongue. Before you they will kneel & bow down & give honor to Your glorious name & they will all accept the yolk of Your Kingship. And Reign upon them speedily forever & ever. For the Kingship, it is Yours. And forevermore reign in glory. Like it is written in your Torah, “The L·rd will reign forever & ever.” And it is said “and it will be the L·rd will Be King upon all of the earth. On that day the L·rd will be One (ie, only He will be worshiped) & His name One.” And in Your Torah, L·rd, Our G·d, it is written saying “Hear Oh Israel, the L·rd is our G·d the L·rd is One.”

יג עיקרים הֲרֵי אֲנִי מַאֲמִין בֶּאֱמוּנָה שְׁלֵמָה בִּשְׁלשׁ עֶשְׂרֵה עִקָּרִים שֶׁל הַתּורָה הַקְּדושָׁה: א. שֶׁהַקָּדושׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא מָצוּי וּמַשְׁגִּיחַ. ב. וְהוּא אֶחָד. ג. וְאֵין לו גּוּף וְאֵין לו דְּמוּת הַגּוּף. ד. וְשֶׁהוּא קַדְמון לְכָל קְדוּמִים. ה. וְאֵין עֲבודָה לְזוּלָתו. ו. וְיודֵעַ מַחְשְׁבות בְּנֵי אָדָם. ז. וּנְבוּאַת משֶׁה רַבֵּנוּ עָלָיו הַשָּׁלום אֱמֶת. ח. וְשֶׁהוּא אָדון לְכָל הַנְּבִיאִים. ט. וְשֶׁהַתּורָה נְתוּנָה מִן הַשָּׁמַיִם. י. וְשֶׁלּא תִּשְׁתַּנֶּה בְּשׁוּם זְמַן, חַס וְשָׁלום. יא. וְשֶׁהַקָּדושׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא מַעֲנִישׁ לָרְשָׁעִים וּמְשַׁלֵּם שָׂכָר טוב לַצַּדִּיקִים. יב. וְשֶׁיָּבוא מֶלֶךְ הַמָּשִׁיחַ. יג. וְשֶׁהַמֵּתִים עֲתִידִים לְהֵחָיות. יְהִי רָצון מִלְּפָנֶיךָ ה' אֱלהֵינוּ וֵאלהֵי אֲבותֵינוּ שֶׁתָּכוף יִצְרֵנוּ לַעֲבודָתֶךָ כָּל יְמֵי חַיֵּנוּ תָּמִיד, אָמֵן כֵּן יְהִי רָצון:

It is good to say the following verses after the prayer: He said, “If you will heed the L-rd your G-d diligently, doing what is upright in His sight, giving ear to His commandments and keeping all His laws, then I will not bring upon you any of the diseases that I brought upon the Egyptians, for I the L-rd am your healer.” A tree of Life it is, for those who hold on to it and its supporters are happy: Her ways are ways of pleasantness and all her paths are Peace: The name of the L-rd is a tower of strength To which the righteous man runs and is safe. For in thee shall thy days be multiplied, and years of life shall be added unto thee:

עשר זכירות לְשֵׁם יִחוּד קוּדְשָׁא בְּרִיךְ הוּא וּשְׁכִינְתֵּיהּ, הֲרֵי אֲנִי מְקַיֵּם מִצְוַת עֲשָׂרָה זְכִירות. שֶׁחַיָּב אָדָם לִזְכּר בְּכָל יום. וְאֵלּוּ הֵם: א. יְצִיאַת מִצְרַיִם. ב. וְהַשַּׁבָּת. ג. וְהַמָּן. ד. וּמַעֲשֵׂה עֲמָלֵק. ה. וּמַעֲמַד הַר סִינַי. ו. וּמַה שֶּׁהִקְצִיפוּ אֲבותֵינוּ לְהַקָּדושׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא בַּמִּדְבָּר וּבִפְרָט בָּעֵגֶל. ז. וּמַה שֶּׁיָּעֲצוּ בָּלָק וּבִלְעָם לַעֲשׂות לַאֲבותֵינוּ "לְמַעַן דַּעַת צִדְקות ה'" (מיכה ו, ה). ח. וּמַעֲשֵׂה מִרְיָם הַנְּבִיאָה. ט. וּמִצְוַת "וְזָכַרְתָּ אֶת ה' אֱלהֶיךָ כִּי הוּא הַנּתֵן לְךָ כּחַ לַעֲשׂות חָיִל" (דברים ח, יח). י. וּזְכִירַת יְרוּשָׁלַיִם תִּבָּנֶה וְתִכּונֵן בִּמְהֵרָה בְּיָמֵינוּ אָמֵן:

Thirteen Principles of Faith I believe with perfect faith the 13 principles of the Holy Torah: 1. That the Holy One, Blessed Be He exists & supervises. 2. & that He is One 3. & that He has no body & no likeness of a body 4. & He was before anything from before 5. & that there is no worship except to Him. 6. & He knows the thoughts of people. 7. & the prophesy of Moses our teacher is true. 8. & that he (Moses) is the master of all prophets. 9. & that the Torah was given from Heaven. 10. & that it [the Torah] will not change at any time, G-d Forbid. 11. & that G·d punishes evil & greatly rewards the good. 12. & that the king Messiah will come. 13. & that the dead will be resurrected in the future. May it be Your Will, Before You, L-rd, our G-d, and G-d of our Fathers, that you strengthen our inclination, to your Service - all the days of our life. Amen. Thus, May it be Your Will.

Ten Remembrances For the sake of unification the Holy and Blessed and His divine presence, Here I am keeping the commandments of the Ten Remembrances that one must remember every day. And these are: 1.Exodus from Egypt. 2.And the Sabbath. 3.And the manna. 4.And the action of Amalek. 5.And Mount Sinai degree. 6.And what our fathers angered to the Blessed One in the desert and especially regarding the calf. 7.And what Balak and Balaam advised to do to our fathers "for the sake of the righteousness of the L-rd" (Micah 6: 5). 8.And the action of the prophet Miriam. 9.And the commandment, "And thou shalt remember the L-rd thy G-d, for He hath given thee power to make prosper" (Deuteronomy 8:18). 10.And the remembrance of Jerusalem will be built and prepared soon in our day Amen:
